🏙️ Real-world impact because our hubs aren’t just empty boxes - they revolutionize last-mile logistics with a seamless user experience, consolidating deliveries to reduce traffic, cut emissions, and create greener, more livable cities
This is your chance to be part of a startup that’s moving fast, scaling smart, and transforming urban logistics from the ground up. Join us! 🚀
Responsibilities & Tasks as our mechanical design engineer
As our mechanical design engineer, you will manage the delivery and engineering of entire products. You will be the principle knowledge holder for the mechanical assembly. This will take you from initial designs, prototyping and testing right through to manufacture.
What You’ll Do
Own mechanical design of components and assemblies - from concept to production release
Rapidly prototype and iterate on designs using in-house and external fabrication resources
Develop mechanical systems optimised for assembly, manufacturability, reliability and user experience
Perform tolerance analyses, material selection, and design verification
Create and manage detailed BOMs throughout development
Work directly with suppliers: prepare RFIs and RFQs, review DFM feedback, and validate samples
Manage engineering development and testing of prototypes and pre-production builds
Collaborate with electrical, software, and industrial design teams to create beautiful, cost-effective solutions that prioritise user experience
Manage timelines for product development & manufacturing supply chain
Drive hands-on problem solving and continuous improvement across design and production
Fact: We need your skills 🤯
What You Bring
2+ years experience in mechanical design, ideally in consumer hardware or product development
Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent) and drawing release best practices
Strong understanding of Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFM/DFA) principles
Experience with rapid prototyping techniques (3D printing, CNC, sheet metal, etc.)
Familiarity with supplier engagement (RFIs, RFQs, prototype reviews, etc.)
Solid grasp of mechanical testing, validation, and tolerance analysis in a startup environment
Experience managing BOMs and documentation throughout the product lifecycle
Hands-on builder with a strong curiosity and drive to make things real
Nice to have:
Specific experience in sheet metal DFM, DFA
Capabilities in Arduino and RaspberryPi for the creation of electromechanical prototypes
Engineering Testing to European Standards and regulation
