Responsibilities & Tasks as a Hardware Working Student
As a Hardware Working Student at bace, you’ll get your hands dirty prototyping, building, and testing the physical systems that power our smart logistics hubs. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes to build, break, and iterate.
Hack and build hardware for internal and marketing projects (e.g. smart product demos, microcontroller-based applications)
Prototype using Raspberry Pi and Arduino
Develop scripts and applications in Python and/or C++
Create hardware parts using CAD (Fusion 360 or similar)
Interface with 3D printers, laser cutters, or basic CNC tools

What You Bring
Proven experience building hands-on hardware prototypes
Proficiency with Raspberry Pi and/or Arduino
Solid skills in Python and C++
Experience with Fusion 360, SolidWorks or other 3D CAD tools
Curiosity, independence, and a hands-on mindset
Based in or around Dortmund
Bonus points if you…
Know how to read datasheets and wire up circuits
Have worked on IoT or robotics projects
Have access to makerspaces or own tools
